What's gantry crane and what's it used for?

A gantry crane is a variant of a bridge crane. At ports, it is mainly used for loading and unloading operations of goods and bulk cargo in outdoor cargo yards and material yards. Its metal structure resembles a door-shaped frame, with two legs installed under the main beam, allowing it to move directly on tracks on the ground. The ends of the main beam can be equipped with outward-extending cantilever beams. Gantry cranes are characterized by high land utilization, a wide operating range, strong adaptability, and versatility, making them widely used in port cargo yards.

Description

European Gantry Crane is a cost-effective alternative where the installation of overhead cranes is impractical due to a need for a raised runway structure. They are also an ideal supplement to heavy-duty overhead cranes in workshop.

Features

1. Simple structure, easy installation.

3. Overload protection device. When the lifting weight exceeds the rated lifting weight, it will issue a warning. 

4. Buffer zone. Polyurethane buffer, installed on the side and end beam of the hoist to prevent collision and derailment. 

5. Welding is carried out using gas protection or submerged arc welding, and the weld seam UT is for non-destructive testing.
